Our LA retro-girl Natalie returns with an interesting new photo set from the Oakland studio. I know some of you out there will take particular pleasure from the smoking fetish theme - and she has just the right look for it. (Unfortunately we didn't capture the beauty of the actual smoke, since the strobe lights washed that away..)

Today, more from Bonnie's bondage sessions in the San Francisco apartment - this time in sepia-toned black and white. These have an almost non-professional look, perhaps like a series of amateur Polaroids, or reminiscent of some of Arakai's work in Japan.

I shot Elena for American Apparel, although the clothing they sent was a bit small on her, so we spent most of the day getting shots of her putting things on or taking things off. In this set I've also increased the brightness, with more detail in the shadow areas, and dialed down the depth of field, giving the canvas backdrop a more diffused look.

Here's another guest gallery in which French photog Didier Carre and I have shot the same model. Mikelle was with us for one of the Prague trips, and I believe this series was shot before that. Normally Carre's style is studio nudes, and not unlike a lot of my work. This time however, he ventures outside and finds some interesting shadows and angles.

Today we have a series from my first shoot with infamous San Francisco model, Seven, as well as one of my very first outings with a digital camera. As you'll see, the first Olympus digital model produced some rather grainy and soft focus results - including various pixellated artifacts that show up in the very large online versions - but back then we were all just amazed at having the pictures immediately available, without a couple trips to the photo lab. We'll have more from these Seven sessions coming up soon.

Continuing today with Mia's natural light bedroom series. The first of these are rather dark and grainy, but then the sun came out and you'll see she's squinting in a few shots, and finally we had enough light to get a few of our patent-pending extreme close-ups.

Today we've got a new reboot to a fashion shoot I did back in 1996, for O Magazine of Germany. We tried some special effects with the color film, which resulted in a grainy, high contrast look. I was surprised that most of this series was actually published in a mainstream magazine - perhaps only in Germany would that have been possible. (Published in their Issue 27, November 1996) We also have some nice black and white shots from this shoot, which will be posted shortly.

Today, a new series of the mysterious Hana, photographed in a San Francisco apartment. In this gallery we used a simple bungee cord for some abstract erotic bondage effects, and kept the focus on her torso. Most of this set was done with natural light, particularly dramatic toward the end of the shoot as she posed near a North facing window.
